Current Mini Grant proposal to be funded for the 2005-06 academic year Proposal: Daily Television Production This proposal is for a position of teacher/producer/advisor for a daily television show to be produced by students in the school's television studio. Each morning beginning at 7:55 am the producer will meet with four sixth grade students to produce a daily television show that will feature: Routines -daily a. good morning welcome b. school events for the day c. menu d. weather forecast (for recess purposes) e. birthdays Features -changes from day to day f. honors g. awards h. events i. photo and video essays j. guest interviews Closing - daily k. Pledge to the Flag The program will run for seven minutes from 8:40-8:47 am. The four students and the teacher advisor will produce the show and three of those students will anchor the program while the fourth student will serve as the camera person. Some sections of the routine, daily elements will be presented in Spanish as well as English. Participation in the show will be open to any sixth grade student wishing to do so and each week four different students will be involved in that week's productions. Toward the end of the year, fifth grade students will be invited to participate as well. All the equipment and television connecting work within the building will be paid by a local resident. |
